The 25th edition of the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon is resuming on 6th and 7th February 2021, as a “Virtual Run” in order to avoid gatherings of the participants. In normal times the famous Half Marathon attract Tourists from all around the world, as this Event aims to support Landmine victims in Cambodia, providing healthcare and medical equipment for them. A part of the revenue of the Event is also going to the Kantha Bopha Hospital and the Angkor Hospital for Children, where treatments and consultations are free for all children in Cambodia. And it has been a tough 2020 for everyone unfortunately, they need our support more than ever.
Since International Tourism has yet to resume in Cambodia, we simply hope that the Marathon will be raising enough funds from locals and expatriates in Cambodia. If you weren’t thinking of participating to it, think about it again! Running the Marathon isn’t only a “Running Event” but also supporting fundamentally important causes.
