On Sunday 25th August morning, Mulberry Boutique Hotel was extremely delighted to be part of a massive community effort. More than 150 persons joined hands all together to clean up the Siem Reap International Airport area, which is basically the first landscape of Cambodia tourists visiting Siem Reap are witnessing.
We do believe this kind of community initiatives are most important; showing the example, educate and encourage the change happening.
In order to clean the widest possible the area, all participants divided in small groups to clean along the road, the neighborhood habitats, and also the big grass fields. It ended up to be a beautiful day of social awareness, everyone motivated to show the example, and hopefully there will be some impact at some point; khmer people realizing taking care of their country and their environment is most important.
Taking care of the Environment also implies taking care of your Health; we do believe a clean area will make some of the khmer people living there avoiding multiple diseases.
