On Saturday 27th January was taking place the 19th Angkor Hospital for Children Anniversary. This annual Event is the occasion for doctors and friends of the organisation to meet all together.

For those who don’t know, Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) is a non-profit pediatric teaching hospital that provides free, high-quality, and compassionate health care to children in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Founded by Kenro Izu with “Friends Without A Border” in 1999, the hospital has provided medical care and health education to over 1.5 million children across Cambodia.

With the help of the international art community, health care professionals, and more than 6,000 supporters from around the world, Angkor Hospital for Children opened its gates in 1999. Kenro founded Angkor Hospital for Children on the principle of building a hospital for Cambodian children, run by Cambodians. Following Friends’ model of Treatment + Education + Prevention, AHC has created a sustainable, replicable model of a healthcare institution that provides high-quality and compassionate medical care to all children, regardless of their ability to pay.

Since 1999, Angkor Hospital for Children has immensely improved the life of the Cambodian kids and it will continue for the future generations hopefully. Mulberry Boutique Hotel will continue supporting them because we think the children healthcare is one of the most important matters here in Cambodia.
